Composed in the spring of 2006 using CSound.
This piece, the same as “What is it?”, is inspired by the Zen meditation practice. “Hwadu” is the Korean Zen translation of the Japanese word “Koan”. This piece was made using a recording of an improvised chant and a wooden block (Buddhist instrument named Moktak).
